Virgo is highly attuned to boundaries. Its analytical mind discriminates - separating things into pieces, parts, categories. It says "no" - this is not that - they are different. The primary discrimination is between self and other - "me" and "not-me".

This Virgoan process is clearly in evidence in the organismic immune system, maintaining health by noticing and rejecting any "foreign" body. This is the source of the Virgoan emphasis on cleanliness and hygiene, as well as dietary strictness.

Virgo tends to lead with NO - noticing differences before similarities.
