The Square

When two planets are approximately ninety degrees apart in a chart, we say they square one another, their relationship a square. This is a challenging or tension-generating aspect. The two parts of the psyche represented by the planets tend to bump into one another, struggle with one another, vie for energy, attention and dominance. Saturn is called upon to create a structure that allows the planets to peacefully co-exist and contribute to the well-being of the whole.
