The Sextile

When two planets are approximately sixty degrees apart in a chart, we say they sextile one another, their relationship a sextile. This is a harmonious or flowing aspect. The two parts of the psyche represented by the planets operate easily together, their energies naturally harmonize. A sextile is milder than a trine, and thus not a strongly emphasized characteristic of the psyche. Nonetheless it constitutes a resource that is naturally and easily drawn upon when necessary.
